What is the difference between a golden retriever and a golden doodle?
So this question I get less often, but I thought I would share our experience between the two since there's a little more to it than their coat types. Our goldens are AKC and come from champion bloodlines. The "champion bloodlines" tells you that they will be beautiful dogs, but more importantly gives them very calm and docile temperaments. They are great with kids of all ages. Being that they are big dogs they will need regular exercise, but can really fit into any household. Also golden retrievers live to please their owners, meaning they are very easy to train.
Our doodles are also great family dogs and good with children. They have a little more energy and require more exercise both physically and mentally. You will quickly realize how smart they are. Training is easy and they will learn a lot if you put in the effort, but they may question you at times. Our doodles also seem to have a stronger desire to be by your side at all times, and they will be vocal about it if not. Of course their coat types is the biggest appeal to the golden doodle, I will go into more details about this when discussing the different generations.

What are the differences between F1 and F1b doodles?
The different generations all have the above temperaments, I will be focusing in more detail concerning their coat types.
F1 (50% golden, 50% poodle)- This generation coat coloring will vary from golden/apricot to red. Their coats can be shaggy and wavy or more flat like a golden. Generally speaking, the curlier their coat the less they will shed. With the F1 generation they may shed little-none, or shed normally like a golden.
F1b (33% golden, 66% poodle)- This generation will have a deeper red coloring and may have some white markings. Their coats will be curlier or wavy, but not flat. This generation will not shed, but keep in mind the grooming requirements increase because of that.

Are your golden doodles hypoallergenic?
We have had success with placing our F1b goldendoodles in families with mild allergies. But, we cannot guarantee that someone with allergies will not be triggered by our doodles. While we can say they won't shed, often times saliva, dander and other factors can contribute to allergies. I always suggest speaking with a doctor to see what they recommend.
How do I get placed on your waitlist?
First I would like to explain that we actually have two running lists going on- our waitlist and also a contact list.
Our waitlist is for families that have placed a deposit on a specific puppy in an upcoming litter. Our contact list if for families that have reached out to us while we were not accepting deposits, but would like to be updated when puppies become available. Our current wait times from when someone goes on our contact list to being able to place a deposit is about 8 months.
If you would like to be added to our contact list please email us, even if you would rather call and speak to us first, follow up with an email as it helps me keep track of dates more accurately.

Do you have mini golden doodles?
Not at this time. We are big dog people, our doodles will grow to be around 65/75 pounds.
Can I come see the puppies?
Most of our puppies are sold before they are born or within the first few days of birth. For the safety of our puppies we do not allow families to come and visit until the puppies are 6 weeks old and have received their shots. The only people welcome to come meet them are those on our waitlist for that litter.
We do however, welcome families to come meet our parent dogs and meet us. We only schedule meetings when we are actively accepting deposits for upcoming litters.

When can I bring my puppy home?
Our puppies are ready to go home at eight weeks old. Once puppies are born we will give families dates for pickup.
Are the puppies checked by a vet?
All of our puppies go to our vet between six to seven weeks old and have a general physical exam including listening to their hearts, checking teeth, eyes, ears, and structure. They are also dewormed and are given their first booster. Our puppies go home with a health certificate from the vet stating dates they are due for their next booster.
